St Georges Day![]() The Saint Georges Day group has been a big supporter on the Institute for a number of years.
Every year the Institute is the beneficiary of a lunch or a ball hosted by the Saint Georges group. Hundreds of mainly English ex-pats attend the St George’s Day lunch or ball to celebrate what is regarded by some as England’s national day, and raise money for the Institute.
The St Georges Day group most recent fundraising event was their Red and White ball that was held on Saturday 17th April 2010 at the Perth Convention Centre. Pictured below is the Institute's Hannah Moore (left, with partner Andrew) and Megan Keep (right, with husband Michael) at the 2010 Ball. The group raises money for the Institute at the ball by holding a large auction. One of the more popular auction items is a tour of the Institute and lunch for 20 people with Professor Fiona Stanley.
Committee members attend the Institute later in the year to present funds raised. Pictured at last years cheque presentation is members of the St George’s Day group committee, and committee chair Ken Mesure presenting the cheque to Professor Fiona Stanley.
Thank you to the St Georges Day group for your continued support of the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research.
